Privacy Policy Primary Closet Effective date: March 31, 2026 Operator: Brittany Brown Contact: primaryclosetapp@gmail.com This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Primary Closet mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Summary. The App helps you organize your wardrobe and import items from photos, Gmail (if you choose), and in-app browsing of retailer websites. We use Google Firebase to host your closet data and photos. First-time use requires account sign-in (Google or email/password). Optional closet sharing is view-only and can be time-limited. You can also choose to send item details/photos using your device share tools (for example text message, email, or other apps). Optional Gmail import only runs when you connect Google and is limited to what you authorize. 1. Who we are Brittany Brown (“we,” “us”) operates Primary Closet. You can contact us at primaryclosetapp@gmail.com. Mailing address: Staten Island, NY, United States. 2. Information we collect 2.1 You provide or generate in the App Closet and item data. Names, categories, colors, brands, sizes, prices, ratings, occasions, notes, purchase dates, “last worn,” closet location labels, donation flags, and similar fields you enter or confirm. Photos and images. Images you take with the camera or choose from your photo library for items, imports, or styling photos. These may be uploaded to our cloud storage (see below). Text from images. If you use screenshot or image-based import, the App may process images on your device to read text (for example, product or order details). Worn locations. Place names or addresses you add (for example, when you search for a venue). The App may send your search text to a third-party geocoding/search service to suggest places. Closet sharing data (optional). If you use sharing, we store invite and access data such as recipient email, owner display name, share status (pending/active/denied/revoked), and expiration time. Content sharing you initiate (optional). If you tap the in-app share button, the App may send selected item text/photos to your chosen app (for example Messages, Mail, or social apps). That transfer is initiated by you. Gmail (optional). If you choose “Import from Gmail” and sign in with Google, we access your Gmail only as needed to find and read messages that match the App’s retailer/order-related search and to extract product information you can import. We do not send your Gmail password to our servers; authentication uses Google’s sign-in. 2.2 Automatically collected / technical Account identifiers. The App uses Firebase Authentication. To use closet features, you must sign in with Google or email/password. Device / app preferences. We store local settings such as active closet selection, import history cache, and reminder preferences. Reminder notification metadata (optional). If you allow notifications, the App may create local reminders (for example share expiration or no recent imports). These are generated on-device using your app data. Service logs and diagnostics. Our service providers (for example Google Firebase) may collect technical and operational data as described in their policies. 2.3 Retailer websites (in-app browser / WebView) When you use features that open Amazon, SHEIN, Fashion Nova, Shop, or other stores inside the App: You sign in (if required) directly on the retailer’s website inside the embedded browser. Your retailer username and password are handled by that retailer under their privacy policy, not ours. The App may read the page you are viewing (for example, order or product pages) to suggest items to add to your closet. Data extracted is used to build your import preview and your closet in the App. Those sites may set cookies and use their own tracking as in a normal browser; see their policies. 2.4 Optional cloud service (retailer import sync) Some versions of the App can use an optional online service operated by Brittany Brown (the same retail-connector / sync backend used for certain import flows—for example connection handoffs, sync status, import previews, or import history). This service is only contacted when your copy of the App is built and configured with that backend enabled. When it is enabled, the App may send requests to our servers; those requests may include a Firebase authentication token and/or a device identifier so we can tie the request to your account. We use that processing to run import and history features tied to that service. If your build does not include this configuration, the App does not send this type of data to our servers (you may still use Firebase, Gmail, WebView retailer imports, and other features as described elsewhere in this policy). 3. How we use information Provide, maintain, and improve the App (sync closet, imports, backups). Process imports you start (Gmail, screenshots, retailer pages). Manage closet collaboration invites and enforce share duration/access. Generate optional local reminders you enable (for example share expiration and import inactivity). Respond to support requests and fix bugs. Comply with law and protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising in the App unless we notify you and, where required, obtain consent. 4. How we share information Google / Firebase. We use Google services (including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage) to host accounts and data. Google’s privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Sign-In & Gmail API. If you connect Gmail, Google processes sign-in and API access under your Google account settings and their policies. User-directed sharing targets. If you choose to share an item through your device share sheet, data is sent to the app/service you pick (for example Messages, Mail, etc.) and then handled under that service’s policy. OpenStreetMap Nominatim (or similar). Place search queries may be sent to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service subject to their usage policy. Law and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and our services. Our optional import-sync servers. When the optional service in Section 2.4 is enabled in your app build, related data is processed on servers we operate, in addition to Google’s services. Business transfers. If we merge or sell assets, user information may transfer subject to this policy or notice. 5. Retention We keep your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at primaryclosetapp@gmail.com. [REPLACE: Add Firebase/data deletion timeline if you have a standard process.] 6. Security We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the service (including encrypted connections and access controls through our providers). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. 7. Children The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us data. 8. International users Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own. 9. Your choices and rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact primaryclosetapp@gmail.com. You can disconnect Google from your Google account settings to stop Gmail access. You can stop using retailer import features at any time. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, and you can revoke closet shares in-app. 10. California / other U.S. state notices [REPLACE: If you qualify, add a short CCPA/CPRA “notice at collection” or state-specific section, or remove if not applicable.] 11. European users (GDPR) [REPLACE: If you target the EU/UK, add legal basis (contract, consent for Gmail, legitimate interests), data controller identity, representative if any, and right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority—or remove if you do not target EU.] 12. Changes We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new date at the top and, if changes are material, provide additional notice as required (for example, in the App). © 2026 Brittany Brown. All rights reserved.
